Washington Navigators adds Appropriations Expert Grady Bourn, who will lead the Appropriations Practice.

Washington, D.C. – [October 15, 2024] – Washington Navigators is excited to announce that Grady Bourn has joined the firm as Senior Vice President, bringing over 25 years of appropriations expertise to the firm’s government relations team. Bourn spent the last decade as senior appropriations staff and legislative director to House Appropriations Committee member John “Judge” Carter (R-TX). He began his career on the appropriations team for the late Chairman Jerry Lewis (R-CA) of the House Committee on Appropriations.

“We are excited to welcome Grady to Washington Navigators,” said founding partner Scott Sudduth. “He’s highly effective and deeply respected on both sides of the aisle on Capitol Hill.”

Throughout his distinguished career, Bourn has been a leading strategist and problem-solver, adept at managing complex legislative priorities and overseeing millions of dollars in funding for various critical projects. “Grady was the cornerstone of legislative expertise in my office for many years, and he’s been an integral part of House workings for decades,” said Judge Carter (R-TX). “Grady knows how to make things happen on the Hill and will be a great asset to Washington Navigators.”

Bourn’s move to Washington Navigators will help the firm continue its mission of providing premier government relations and strategic advisory services. His extensive experience working with cities, local governments, universities, and federal agencies on critical funding and policy matters will further strengthen the firm’s ability to serve its clients and navigate the complexities of Washington’s political landscape.
